Arts Program
Goodland students are given the opportunity to choose from various elective courses in addition to their regular core curriculum.  Among these electives, Goodland offers classes in both art and music, which provides at least two creative outlets for our students.  Within the music program, students learn about music theory, music history, and choral singing.  For the younger boys, art instruction focuses on the basic elements and principles of the fine arts.  The more advanced art curriculum includes exposure to a variety of media and technique, including drawing, painting, as well as other forms of artistic expression.  In addition, the boys have an opportunity to enter their various artworks in the Choctaw County Fair, where several of our students have won prizes over the years.
