Is God asking you to MOVE a mountain?

“I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing is impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20

Each year, people from near and far come to Goodland to work and minister with us to move mountainous projects from beginning to end. Goodland's Mission Opportunity Volunteer Experience (MOVE) is a tool and invitation to families, groups and individuals who have been equipped to move mountains in God's kingdom through short term mission trips and Christian service opportunities. The ministry can accommodate high school, college, adult and family work groups as well as individuals throughout the year.

We consider each volunteer God's seed and will do our best to find a place where your “seed” can be planted, grow and become fruitful. As written in Ephesians, the Lord has given each of us various gifts “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ” and with that we hope each one interested will be moved into action.

If the Lord has placed a purpose in your heart to MOVE and you want more information, contact DC Adams, our Director of Church Relations to find out what mountains you can move for God!

Goodland was established in 1848 with the purpose of ministering to the deepest needs of children, and our primary emphasis is helping children to become disciples of Christ. Christian parents and teachers work hand-in-hand to acquaint children with the Lord and help them to grow in every aspect of their lives. Christian parents serve the children placed in their homes by developing a nurturing, Christ-centered family in order to address emotional, spiritual, physical, social, and developmental needs. Christian teachers demonstrate how Christ is a part of everyday life by providing an education that is Christ-centered. We count it a blessing to have such willing servants, as yourselves, come and offer their services in exchange for nothing but the heartfelt satisfaction of helping those in need. We are amazed every year at the number and the diversity of groups that wish to help us here at Goodland. To aid us in our scheduling of so many different groups, we have developed several types of work programs.

Cost

The cost for these trips is absolutely nothing! Your participation is an encouragement and valuable to us (although donations will not be refused)! All of your meals will be provided. The only cost to you is your travel expense and your blood, sweat, and tears!

Housing

Housing will be provided primarily in our bunkhouse. There are two air conditioned dormitory style rooms separated by bathrooms. Each dorm room has a private entry and will sleep 16-20 people.
